F@LCO, A CYBER SHOW

THE SHOW

Hans Hölzel, dominated and influenced by Falco, the Golem he created, wants to demolish Falco to regain his freedom as a creative person. He does it in the public arena, in a stage show, because this is the only realm where Falco, Hans‘ incarnation, exists. However, Falco, who has become Hans‘ raison d’être, fights back and refuses to die.

The Hans–Falco drama is a variation on  the theme of the Golem rising against its creator. The struggle between Hans and Falco, which is a constant strive between Man and Golem, becomes the main action of the show. It is by means of  dramatic conflict that we are highlighted crucial events in Hans Hölzel’s stage biography and his life of a pop star.

The concept of the show tries to combine new elements of the theatre, the concert, laser shows, revue, clubbing and disco in a new way. Water screen and monitor projections become dramaturgical partners and are integrated in the action.

THE PLACE OF ACTION

The show is intended for the Ronacher in Vienna. The stage of the Ronacher reminds of an arena where the audience is seated on both sides.

The stage is built in the form of an @ that extends into a catwalk to form a close contact between the actors and their audience. The atmosphere is that of a rock  concert.

Two categories of tickets are available: more expensive ones for the boxes and the balconies and cheaper tickets close to the rostrum where the show is performed. Here the spectator is offered the possibility to move around during the show, to dance and to take drinks at the bars installed below the catwalks. A catering service offers drinks and a choice of snacks for the boxes.

On entering the feeling of a clubbing is created, as techno music is played by a DJ in the main hall, where there are open bars that offer a choice of drinks . Light effects and the sound system add up to a special atmosphere. The audience is thus invited to dance and to drink.

Members of the Dance Company have already entered the catwalk. The screens show video advertisements and names of sponsors. Announcements of other events in town are made.

The clubbing after the show goes on for the rest of the night.
