FALCO Number 1 in the USAWith the number one hit "Amadeus" Falco left his old manager and worked together with the Dutch managers Bolland & Bolland. His first single "Amadeus" was on the top of the Austrian charts. The LP "Falco 3" and the other singles "Vienna Calling" and "Jeanny" were a big success in Europe. Everybody thought that Falco was on the top of his career, but then what had so far been impossible for an Austrian musician happened. In March 1986 "Amadeus" was running the top of the Amercian charts for four weeks and went on the top in Great Britain (the homecountry of the pop). Around the world "Amadeus" hit the top 10 and Falcos videoclips were on MTV in heavy rotation. His Album "Falco 3" went up high in the international charts and in the USA it was on place 3. His new album "Emotional" was produced in 1986 with the singles "The Sound of Music", "Emotional" and "Coming Home" (Jeany Part II). His next LPs "Wiener Blut" and "Data De Groove" were a project to show the current zeitgeist. Falco was on the top again with his album "Nachtflug", coming out of the ashes like the legendary phenix in autumn 1992. This album (its Falcos idea of a summary of the 80s) was at the top of the Austrian charts for two weeks. All in all, the album was in the charts for 17 weeks and the single "Titanic" for 18 weeks. In May 1993 Falco made a tour. In 1996 Falco moved to the Dominican Republic. In this summer his single "Mutter, der Mann mit dem Koks ist da", which he produced under the pseudonym T*MA was an instant number three hit in Austria's Top 40. The video for this song was on VIVA in heavy rotation. His last published single was "Naked" and it ranked on place 4 in Austria.

Falco the Godfather of the white RapFalcos artistic value is certainly not only defined by his rankings in the charts, his music was ahead of its time. He is the inventor of European Rap. The integration of rap texts into pop lyrics, combined with melodious refrains anticipated a trend of the 80s, and later many international stars delighted the crowd with similar songs. In 1997 he worked on the production of his new album "Out of the Dark".
